Swasthya Sathi : Health insurance scheme for the 80 lakh Civic Police Volunteers, Green Police Volunteers, Civil Defence Volunteers, Village Police Volunteers, SHGS, NVF/ Home Guard, ICDS Workers and personnel working for the government on Contractual/ Casual/Daily rates and their 4 crore family members. There is no upper limit for number of family members. They would receive coverage of INR 1.5 lakh per annum and in special cases it would give coverage of INR 5 lakh.
Utkarsh Bangla: Objective of the scheme is to give vocational training to school dropouts by providing training ranging from 400 to 1200 hours free of charge. Under this scheme, beneficiaries will be trained in driving, tailoring, repairing television and other electronic equipment’s, beauticia courses etc.
Mabhoi : A health and general insurance policy scheme under the department of Information and Cultural Affairs for accredited journalists. Under this scheme, Family members including husband/wife, father/mother, young brother/sister, dependent widow/divorced sister and children of journalists will be covered under this scheme. Accredited journalists aged up to 65 years (including retired individuals) can avail of this scheme.
Safe Drive Safe Life: A programme to inculcate a sense of safe driving and responsible road behaviour among people.
Sabuj Sathi: A scheme titled “Sabuj Sathi” is for distribution of bi-cycles to the students of class IX to XII in all Govt. run/Govt. aided/Govt. sponsored schools. Target is to cover around 40 lakh students in the State and objective is to encourage students in higher education and to reduce drop outs. Three Manufacturers were selected through e-Tender viz. TI Cycles (Hercules), Hero Cycles and Avon Cycles. Average rate per bi-cycle is Rs. 3200/- per pc. The scheme is under Department of Backward Classes Welfare.
